Dear Forum Users:

            This Forum was created so that the People of Limington would have a method of commenting on issues that affect their lives.  Unfortunately, there are those who wish to silence these voices by drowning them out in a barrage of personal and hateful attacks.  I have allowed the users of the Forum the freedom to express themselves but am disappointed that some users lack the maturity to use this freedom wisely and have instead chosen to abuse the privilege.  Whether their goals are just to intimidate or are to shut down the Forum completely, the effect is the same: the attacks act as a distraction from the real issues and discourage public involvement.

            Sadly, because of the actions of a few, I am forced to shut down this Forum until further notice.  If you have suggestions on how the Forum can be run, please email your input to me.

            If you would like to comment on some of the subjects raised in the Limington Free Press, you may send me signed letters to the editor.  Another alternative is to use the Maine Forum run by the Portland Press Herald.
