| The Old Limington Library shown before it was moved to the Historical Society |
What is the Limington Historical Society ( founded 1976 )
doing these days ( circa 2000 ) ??October 29, 2000
Readers of the Shoppers Guide may have noticed the request for donations of horse drawn farm equipment.
We are hoping to increase our collection of these items before they disappear from the fields, woods and barns in town.
The more there is to see at the barn hopefully the more people will be interested.
The barn just barely holds what we have now, but lumber has been donated to add a shed on the backside of the barn for the larger pieces. The small library building is now on proper sills resting on granite.
Shingles have been purchased for the roof.We are seeking a donation of concrete for the floor for the barn shed as well as for the Blacksmith Shop that Phil Dearborn has planned for the site.
